Get to know GUNAA - DALLAS:

  • Is a 501©3 Organization

  • Created and developed aggressive recruitment programs for over 30 years. “Tour of Schools” held during the State Fair Classic with Miss. Grambling, GSU Court and SGA to encourage students to “Stay in School” Relationships with the students and school personnel were developed. Visited 150 schools.

  • Participated in a yearly average of 35+ high school recruitment events reaching over 3,000 students.

  • Awarded over $100,000 to Dallas/Fort Worth students for scholarships, book grants and hardships

  • Sponsored high school students in GSU High ability Program, in which 90% of the students attended GSU as an advanced Freshman.

  • Developed corporate relationships to provide sponsorship and donations to fund the “Battle of the High School Bands” and other events.

  • Coordinated corporate matching funds drive of DFW alumni.

  • Spearheaded GSU College of Business Career Workshop with GSU alumni executives. Workshops on resume writing, mock interviews, student resume reviews and dress for success seminars.

  • Adopted Charles Rice Elementary School Dallas, Texas for over 20 years. Provided school supplies to a school in Cambodia in 2018.

  • Provided donations to area church youth groups, while worshiping together.
